Last night Vicki and I went to Thursday night mass which of course highlights the Last Supper, and has several traditional customary highlights from incense to a washing of the feet as was performed during the Last Super with Jesus and his disciples.

When we got to the Homily (that’s Catholic for Sermon) I as usual was looking forward to Father Bill speaking as he is very good. No more than a couple of minutes into this the adolescent kid in the pew in front of us started getting really rowdy with gestures and arm motions to the point I could not pay attention to Father Bill at all, and no the parents weren’t paying any attention or stopping it.
So, I said a prayer and I began with “Father if it be your will, please quiet this child”.
My own eyes immediately closed, and I was the one that went quiet. Soon, I was back to listening to Father Bill and knew that as the song says, “ You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you’ll get what you need.”
THY WILL BE DONE.
Happy Easter
